Our mission is simple: save lives, support recovery, and invest in futures.

Save lives by ensuring Narcan is available in communities throughout Brazoria County by providing and maintaining Narcan machines in various locations.

Support recovery by connecting people to treatment providers, peer support, and recovery resources.

Invest in futures by offering scholarships for students in long-term recovery, assisting students in applying for FASFA and registering for college.
About Us
Who We Are
BCRC was founded in 2018. Our goal is to break the stigma of addiction and provide practical resources. We support people who are struggling, in recovery, and their families. From installing lifesaving Narcan dispensers across the county to awarding scholarships for students in recovery, and providing peer support services we are working to create a stronger, healthier, and more hopeful community.
Our Mission
We provide sensible, compassionate solutions to the addiction and mental health crisis in Brazoria County. We are committed to:
- Overdose Prevention through Narcan distribution and education.
- Recovery Support through coaching and by connecting people with treatment and peer groups.
Narcan Saves Lives
Narcan (naloxone) is an emergency medication that can reverse an opioid overdose in minutes. Having it available can mean the difference between life and death.
That’s why BCRC has worked to place free Narcan vending machines at accessible locations throughout Brazoria County. These machines provide Narcan at no cost, 24/7. No one should face a crisis without help.
Investing in Education
Recovery doesn’t end with treatment. Long-term success often requires education and career opportunities. Scholarships for people in recovery are rare, but BCRC is changing that.
We offer Recovery Scholarships through Alvin Community College and our website. These scholarships make it possible for students in recovery to pursue their education and build a better future.
Connecting People with Care
Every person’s recovery journey is unique. We partner with treatment providers, peer support networks, and recovery organizations across Brazoria County. Whether someone needs detox, long-term treatment, counseling, or peer support, BCRC helps make those connections.
We also support families. Addiction affects parents, spouses, and children. By providing counseling, education, and resources, we strengthen families and recovery to both those suffering from addiction and mental health issues and their families.
